How well are your pumps performing?

Pivotal Pumps’ field engineers perform condition monitoring with an array of cutting edge instruments and sensors to tell you exactly how your pumps are performing.  We can do so in a non-intrusive manner, while the pumps are operating and the plant is online.  Pivotal engineers can then partner with plant personnel, utilizing this data to make more accurate predictive maintenance decisions.

Take a Look at our Process...

  • Evaluation of System Requirements

Pivotal engineers will work with plant engineers to evaluate the exact requirements of your pumping system. This will create a baseline that the testing results can be evaluated against.

  • Mobilization

An experienced Pivotal engineer will deploy to the job site, bringing along with them all required instrumentation and data collection devices.

  • Flow

Flow will be precisely measured using a calibrated ultra-sonic flowmeter.

  • Pressure

Both suction and discharge pressures will be measured and recorded using the plants in-line pressure transmitters.

  • Temperature

Bearing housing temperatures will be measured and recorded using RTD’s.

  • Vibration

Full spectrum vibration analysis is available upon request. Our vibration analyzing systems are capable of diagnosing the root cause of your vibration issues, whether the vibration is occurring at 1X, 2X or vane pass frequencies. Transient vibration analysis and data recordings can also be conducted.

  • Data Reporting

After the data collection phase, the Pivotal Pumps engineer will prepare a condition monitoring report, complete with all raw and calculated data points. The report will overlay the pumps current operating point onto the OEM’s factory performance curve, giving you a visual representation of the pumps current condition.

  • Recommendations

Pivotal Pumps engineering team will then discuss the report and results with plant engineers, helping to interpret the data and draw meaningful conclusions that will benefit your predictive maintenance program.

  • Billing

Pivotal Pumps will provide time records, along with receipts for all expenses when the final bill is presented. Our billing process operates on the principle of full transparency and honesty.

  • Continued Support

Customer service and technical phone support are provided for the life of the equipment, free of charge.
